The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) presents and advocates the contemporary art of Singapore and Southeast Asia. Through a fresh and vigorous multi-disciplinary approach, its exhibitions, collections, commissioning and programming initiatives focus on cutting-edge Southeast Asian art and art practices that are engaged with the 'here and now'. SAM stimulates a diverse, thriving artistic environment engaged with audiences and the most urgent social and cultural transformations of the region and of our time. The museum opened in January 1996 as a museum under the National Heritage Board of Singapore, and in August 2008 expanded its premises with its wing, SAM at 8Q.

Singapore Philatelic Museum showcases Singapore's philatelic heritage and postal artefacts since the Straits Settlements era.
