SINGAPORE CONVENTION & EXHIBITION DIRECTORY 2020/2021
S ingapore registered a record year in tourism in 2018 with visitor arrivals of 18.5 million (a growth of 6.2%) and
tourism receipts growing to reach S$27.1 billion. Indeed, true to our destination brand Passion Made Possible, which we launched in August 2017, our partners in the tourism sector continue to demonstrate that with vision, ingenuity and an enterprising spirit, we are able to imagine and forge new possibilities, and realise future realities; where people turn their passion for growth into fresh opportunities to connect, collaborate and innovate.
As a dynamic city-state that is fully committed to nurturing businesses, Singapore has unwaveringly offered global organisations access and connectivity to the fast-evolving Asian region and beyond. Event organisers can plan with peace of mind by choosing Singapore, a multiple award-winning MICE hub and one of the world’s safest and most connected cities offering easy access to some 4 billion people within a 7-hour flight radius.
The Business Travel, Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions and Exhibitions (BTMICE) industry plays a key role in driving the tourism sector in Singapore. In 2018, we welcomed about 2.9 million BTMICE visitors, accounting for over $4.68 billion in tourism receipts.
Singapore continues to be a business events destination of choice, being named the top convention city of 2018 in the Asia Pacific region by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) for 17 years running.
Not one to rest on our laurels, Singapore is committed to keep innovating and introducing new and compelling content to an already strong calendar of BTMICE events. Notable events hosted in Singapore in 2019 include ITB Asia 2019, Industrial Transformation Asia Pacific 2019, Singapore Fintech Festival, and Singapore Media Festival. Our 2020 events calendar includes Singapore Airshow 2020, Food & Hotel Asia, Super Computing Asia and ConnecTechAsia.
All these achievements will not have been possible without the close partnership and collaboration with industry players. Singapore’s strong ecosystem of professional event organisers, venue operators and partners not only ensure that business events here take place without a glitch but also offer fresh and innovative perspectives to add that special Singaporean touch to events. The Singapore Convention & Exhibition Directory accords easy access to a comprehensive directory of partners across the industry and an updated list of business events. Discover new possibilities and create a winning business events experience in Singapore – where innovation, growth and new opportunities meet.
